Absolutely not. You can train our our 2022 Hurricane 240 OBX. Many of our customers don’t own a boat. They are thinking of possibly joining a boat club, they visit the area often and would like to rent more often. Whatever the reason, we’re happy to teach you on our boat.  

Only if you were born on or after January 1st 1988. There are a number of free online courses and regardless of age, we always recommend taking the online course before your boating lesson with us. You can visit, https://www.boatus.org/florida/ to take the online course. 

Your hands on training covers a variety of topics. We cover how to check the tides, anchoring, electronics, docking, safe operation of the vessel while underway, ICW water signs, aids to navigation and safe boating weather. 

Our boating instruction lasts approximately 3 hours. We provide bottled water and sodas. Feel free to bring a snack or your own ice chest if you like. 

Absolutely! Boating is all about teamwork. We’re encourage you to bring a spouse or family member that will be boating with you, they will learn exactly what you learn.
